Kylah's First Christmas x 5

Kylah's first Christmas actually consisted of 5 Christmas parties, all of which she ended up with more gifts than anyone else! Our house is now full of boxes with toys and clothes for her...can we say spoiled!? Although she doesn't understand now, she will be very thankful soon for all her gifts. Thank you to all our friends and family who made her first Christmas (all 5) wonderful!

Here are just a few of the hundred pictures we took...starting with Riley and Kylah waiting patiently to open gifts.
These gifts here are ALL for Kylah! Great timing for her to take a cat nap...
She did eventually wake up to see the toys Dad unwrapped for her though!
Family pic after parties 1 & 2:
Christmas Eve morning before party #3 at Great Grandma and Grandpa Winkler's house. Isn't she adorable?!
Kylah's favorite gift by far is the Jumparoo Great Grandma & Grandpa gave her. Thank you!!
All partied out :)

Visitors

Kylah met a few more of our very close friends just before Christmas, including Jeff Uhen, Reed Smith, and Nikki Olivier...thanks for stopping by everyone! AND, thanks for a very fun night out afterwards :)

Basement Project 2007

Kylah, Riley and I are very proud of Craig's hard work in our basement and it's time to share the progress he's made to date. Most of you know that Craig has spent the past few months designing, framing, and wiring every room downstairs. His late nights, muscle aches, sweat and tears are all paying off and I couldn't be more impressed. This past week we had the foam insulation sprayed, and the dry wall is almost all hung as of today! This means we get to pick out paint, carpet, bathroom cabinets, and tile soon - which obviously is my favorite part :) The pictures in the slideshow above start with the completion of his framing work, the insulation stage, and what the dry wall looks like as of 12:30am today. There's still more work to do (like trim, so plan on a trim and painting party soon for those of you in town!) - but I'm very happy to share his project progress with you all so far. Great work Craig!!

Getting ready for Christmas

We put up our Christmas tree and decorations today and Kylah loves the lights. We're so excited to celebrate her first Christmas together in just a few weeks!

2 Month Pictures

Kylah had 2 month pictures taken recently that we want to share with you. She is too cute not to show off! (Photography by Tara Hays) When the slide program asks for your email address, please do not fill it out.

Hi Daddy!

My dad has been working down in Texas all week. He calls home often to say he loves me and misses me. I love and miss him too, I even told him that today when mom put him on speaker phone!

Baptism

Kylah was Baptised by the Lord on November 11, 2007. Deacon Leo presided with God Parents Tami and Randy Klibert and Mom and Dad. The family was there for the event. One of the miracles of the day is in the family picture - can you see him? I'll give you a hint, "The Lord be with You".

Play Time

Today was Kylah's first day playing on her Baby Einstien mat, and she loved it! She spent most of the time looking at herself in the mirror...

Mom and Kylah

Mom was getting down that there weren't many pictures of just her and Kylah. A couple nights ago, we took one of Kylah's happy times to snap some great Mom and Kylah pictures. Just a gigglin'!

He's crazy :)!

This is at 6:10 am this morning. He would not stop tossing the ball in my lap until I started throwing it today. Who has trained who??

Uncle Brian's

I helped Uncle Brian knock out a wall in his new home today :)

Sleeping on the job.

Loving Construction

Grandma and "Grump" Winkler take a break from construction at Uncle Brian's new home.

Commentary...

Hi All:
Sorry, new to this blog site and I figured out how to let everyone comment on the pictures - thanks to the "Bemily's" for pointing it out. If you have a log in though, sign it so we know who comments :). Thanks everyone - hope you are enjoying this as much as we are putting it together for Kylah and Riley.
Craig and Michelle

Rah Rah Rah!

Grandpa and Kylah were cheering during the U of M v. MSU game this weekend! (Go Blue!)

Above is Michelle speaking. Craig and Grandpa Taetsch were rooting for MSU. And this picture was acutally taken as Grandpa Taetsch was teaching Kylah the Michigan State fight song. Another unlucky loss - next year Spartan's. Kylah will be cheering for MSU next year.

Story Time

Last night was probably one of the cutest moments of Kylah's life so far. We could've sat and watched her all night while she laughed, smiled, and coohed during story time with Dad. It was truly adorable!

Just Do It

Yesterday we bundled Kylah up in her Nike gear and went for a walk since the weather was so nice! Kylah slept the whole time, so Riley and I took the long way to collect more sticks for him to play with :)

Please make her stop crying!!

Bath Time!

Kylah loves bath time, especially when the water is sprayed on her head. That makes it very easy on Mom and Dad

Our Little Pumpkin

How cute is she!?!?!?

Visiting Dad

After running errands with Mom yesterday, we stopped by Dad's office to say hi! That chair was perfect for an afternoon nap...

New noises

Sitting around the house today, Michelle and I heard some new noises coming from Kylah. Riley, in fact, even popped up and walked over to Kylah and gave her a big lick after he heard it. Pretty cool to hear something different than baby grunting :)

Mom's Day Off

Craig took today off to give Michelle a break from the day-to-day of motherhood and get Michelle away from the same four walls. Kylah, Riley and I are going to do construction in the basement together today and this evening - I am sure the screaming baby will provide enough energy to hold a support beam ;)

What do you call a crying baby at 9:53 am on the day you've taken off - Hungry.
